How to Have a Peaceful, Productive Day Every day

There are many things you can do to deal with stress when you’re not working—from yoga and meditation to reading a book or going for a run. But are there any things that will help you in the moment of stress itself? Are there any things you can do at work to keep your cool and increase your productivity? Is there any way that you can stop little things from getting to you and work at peak efficiency? This is everyone’s goal in life. So here are a few tips to help you have a peaceful, productive day everyday:

Don’t Forget to Breathe

Most of us forget to breathe in the moment when we’re dealing with something stressful. If your boss is mad at you because you didn’t finish some work on time, you’re probably standing there, feeling terrible and breathing a little too fast. As a result, you may not be able to present your side of the issue or at least come up with a reasonable solution.

Remember that you have power in every encounter at work. Just because you’re talking to someone in a higher position than you doesn’t mean that you are powerless. If the two of you work together, you can come up with a solution that benefits everyone. So take a deep breath and try to speak calmly and positively. Don’t freeze.

Set Reasonable Goals

Sometimes, we’re unable to reach our goals because we set them too high. Actually, we live in a society which encourages us to do this. We’re taught to reach for the moon, try to accomplish our dreams etc.

And of course, accomplishing our dreams is great. But is working ten hours a day your dream? Is this how you thought you would accomplish your dream? Does it feel good to be doing it? If the answer to these questions is “yes,” then you’re in a good place.

But if not, then take a long look at what you’re doing everyday and how much of it is actually necessary to reach those dreams of yours. You may find that a lot of it is just filler or busy work.
